Zheng welcomed the visitors and briefed them on the university's history, its distinctive features and the development of its programs in the Thai-language and international Chinese language education programs.

He noted that BISU is a base designated by the China Scholarship Council for the preparatory education of Chinese Government Scholarship students, and the "Chinese + Tourism" education practice and research base of the Ministry of Education.

The university attaches great importance to educational exchanges and cooperation with Thailand, he added, and has established long-term, stable partnerships with a number of well-known Thai universities.

Noting that BISU has a solid foundation and extensive experience in international Chinese language education, Zheng said it can offer customized short- and long-term exchange programs, degree programs and "Chinese + specialty" courses, and he welcomed Thai students to study at the university.

Natacha expressed her gratitude for the hospitality and introduced Singsamut School and the current state of Chinese-language teaching there. Some of the school's students have already acquired a basic command of Chinese.

She added that she looked forward to organizing groups of students to take part in BISU's short- and long-term programs and degree programs, and that she hoped the two sides would build a long-term and stable cooperative relationship and train more students capable of contributing to people-to-people exchanges between Thailand and China.

Following the meeting, the delegation held discussions with leaders and faculty representatives of BISU's School of International Education, and the two sides agreed in principle to cooperate on study-in-China programs for the school's students.
