Updated: September 30, 2026

Beijing International Studies University (BISU) has been ranked 52nd globally in Hospitality and Tourism Management, according to the 2026 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) released by ShanghaiRanking, a higher education consultancy, on Sept 15.

Covering 57 subjects across the natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences and social sciences, this year's ranking evaluated more than 3,000 universities worldwide, with nearly 20,000 discipline entries from over 2,000 institutions in 96 countries and regions appearing on the published list.

The ranking reflects BISU's sustained efforts in discipline development. Going forward, the university will build on its distinctive strength in empowering cultural tourism disciplines through foreign languages, promote deeper integration of cultural tourism, languages and digital technologies, and strengthen talent training, scientific research, social services and international cooperation, so as to expand the discipline's global influence and competitiveness.
