The 2026 Advanced Training Program for Digital Culture and Tourism Faculty, hosted by Beijing International Studies University (BISU), was held from July 21 to 24.

Nearly 200 participants from over 80 institutions and digital culture and tourism enterprises gathered at BISU to discuss professional development and educational innovation under the theme "Digital Culture and Tourism Talent Cultivation and Teaching Reform in the Era of Artificial Intelligence".

The program emphasized cross-disciplinary integration, bringing together 13 experts from government, industry, academia, and research to deliver specialized lectures offering diverse perspectives.

The academic and education section of the training program focused on the positioning of digital culture and tourism programs, curriculum and textbook development, research innovation, and AI-enabled teaching applications — systematically addressing how to build programs, reform curricula, innovate research, and transform the role of educators.

The industry module highlighted deep alignment between program development and sectoral demand. Presentations delivered by the industry experts formed a complete chain spanning industrial scenario innovation, translation of curricula into practical training, and optimization of talent cultivation mechanisms, offering practical insights for integrating industry needs into the full process of digital culture and tourism talent development.

The policy and governance track centered on the Hangzhou City Brain initiative, emphasizing that technology application should always respond to human needs and enhance public well-being. This approach inspired participants to place greater emphasis on value-driven leadership, humanistic care, and social responsibility alongside technical instruction — a message that resonated widely among attendees.
