Tourism College of Changchun University visits BISU to discuss cooperation

A delegation from the Tourism College of Changchun University visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on July to discuss deepening inter-university cooperation.

Gong Bo, BISU's vice-president, welcomed the visitors. Gong noted that foreign language universities are currently at a critical stage of transformation and development, emphasizing that BISU is actively building interdisciplinary programs in areas such as digital cultural tourism, artificial intelligence science and technology, and the digital economy, with the aim of closely aligning talent cultivation with market demand.

He also expressed the hope that both institutions would leverage their respective strengths to pursue practical cooperation across multiple domains, including the sharing of teaching resources and international education initiatives.

Li Qinghua, president of the Tourism College of Changchun University, expressed keen interest in deepening exchanges and collaboration on promoting China-Russia cooperation in tourism education and supporting the development of the local tourism industry. He also sought to learn from BISU's advanced experience in high-caliber discipline development and international education, and to jointly exploring new pathways for talent cultivation that are mutually complementary and mutual beneficial.

During the meeting, the relevant departments from both sides engaged in-depth discussions on specific cooperation matters and reached a preliminary consensus on practical initiatives including discipline co-construction, internship programs, and university-enterprise collaboration.
