A delegation led by Nittaya Wannakit, vice-president of Mahasarakham University in Thailand, visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on July 13, where they were received by Vice-President Zheng Chengjun and signed a cooperation framework agreement.

BISU leaders have exchanges with the delegation of Mahasarakham University.

Zheng extended a welcome to the Thai guests, noting that BISU serves as a key training ground for China's diplomatic and foreign affairs professionals.

He underscored BISU's strong commitment to educational exchange and cooperation with Belt and Road countries, particularly Thailand, with which BISU has already established stable cooperation platforms across multiple leading Thai universities.

Zheng also proposed expanding cooperation into areas including student exchange, faculty visits, building international student recruitment bases, and joint research in regional studies.

Nittaya Wannakit extended her gratitude for the hospitality and gave an overview of Mahasarakham University.

She noted that BISU enjoys a strong reputation in language and cultural studies, and the two universities had already built a solid record of cooperation through student and faculty exchanges. The signing of this agreement, she said, marks an elevation of the partnership to a higher level and broader scope.

She voiced great expectations for deep, substantive collaboration in disciplines including accounting, hotel management, and regional studies, spanning the sharing of educational resources, two-way faculty and student visits, and joint research initiatives.
