International journalists visit BISU

A group of 45 foreign journalists from the China International Press Communication Center visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on June 16.

International journalists learn about BISU's history.

Hailing from 43 countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Arab region, the journalists got a firsthand look at BISU's distinctive educational environment and innovative spirit during the visit.

Zheng Chengjun, BISU's vice-president, welcomed the journalists and gave an overview of the university's history and unique educational offerings.

Zheng highlighted the university's achievements over its 60-year history, particularly in foreign languages, cultural tourism, and international trade. He emphasized the vital role of media in connecting the world and fostering mutual understanding, expressing hope for collaboration with international media to observe development, promote cultural exchange, and enhance global governance.

At the event, the journalists toured the campus, engaging in discussions with faculty and students on international communication, cultural tourism integration, cross-cultural education, and international student recruitment. Many of them expressed keen interest in the "Study at BISU" program during the tour.

This visit has offered the journalists a valuable platform to understand the development of Chinese higher education, experience cultural exchanges, and explore the unique aspects of BISU's study programs.
