
Zheng Chengjun, vice-president of Beijing International Studies University (BISU), recently attended a seminar on "Studying in China" organized by Xinhua News Agency and delivered a speech.

The seminar unveiled a think tank report titled "Studying in China: Contributing to the Building of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind". It systematically reviews the journey and current status of the "Studying in China" initiative, and showcases China's high-quality educational resources and its open, inclusive environment for global students.
It also indicates that with advancement in educational modernization and the enhancement of international competitiveness, China has become an important "new growth pole" in the global study abroad market.
At the seminar, experts and scholars from China and abroad discussed the achievements, significance, and future prospects of China's study abroad programs, contributing insights to promote educational openness and facilitate exchanges and mutual learning.
In his speech, Zheng emphasized that educational exchange is a powerful tool for breaking down cognitive barriers and fostering mutual understanding.
He also noted that BISU has recently developed unique programs that have effectively enhanced international students' understanding and recognition of China's development path and cultural values.
