
Warangkana Nibhatsukit, dean of the Faculty of Arts at Thailand's Silpakorn University, led a delegation to Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on April 17 to enhance collaboration between the two universities.

BISU Vice-President Zheng Chengjun welcomed Warangkana and her team, highlighting the history of friendly cooperation between the universities.
Zheng noted that since the partnership began, numerous collaborative projects have benefited both students and faculty of the two universities. With increasing interest in learning Chinese in Thailand, Zheng expressed a desire to expand cooperation into new areas, such as "2+2" and "3+1" dual-degree programs and educational initiatives for international students in China.
Warangkana thanked BISU for the warm reception and emphasized the solid foundation for cooperation between Silpakorn University's Faculty of humanities and BISU's School of Asian Studies and School of International Education.
He mentioned that Silpakorn University have highly praised the BISU campus and education quality and looks forward to implementing joint "2+2" and "3+1" programs, as well as encouraging more students to join summer study programs at BISU.
During their visit, the delegation toured BISU's history museum and attended a lecture on "Chinese National Conditions and Culture" delivered by BISU's Thai language faculty.
