The first lecture of the training camp was delivered by Cao Zhen, deputy secretary-general of the Tour Guide Branch of the Beijing Cultural and Tourism Association, a National Tour Guide Competition gold medalist, National May 1st Labor Medal recipient, and 2022 Winter Olympics torchbearer.

Focusing on "A complete guide to passing the Tour Guide Qualification Examination", the lecture attracted around 300 students both online and offline. Drawing from 18 years of professional experience in the sector, Cao systematically outlined the entire process of preparing for the tour guide certification exam and shared techniques for both written and oral exams.

Addressing the advantage of second-language students in multilingual skills, Cao noted the booming inbound tourism market and the significant gap in multilingual tour guides. He also answered students' questions regarding exam details and study methods.

During the camp, BISU Vice-president Gong Bo engaged in in-depth discussions with participants. He emphasized the significant shortage of multilingual tour guides in the flourishing inbound tourism market and highlighted the university's commitment to nurturing talent. He encouraged participants to seize opportunities in the growing inbound tourism sector and realize their potential in the cultural and tourism industry.

The training camp features eight sessions conducted both offline and via online live streaming to accommodate students from different campuses and those on external internships. The curriculum aligns closely with the national tour guide certification exam syllabus, covering modules on policy regulations, national and local tour guide knowledge, tour guide business, and intensive interview preparation with mock exams.
