Maejo University leaders visit BISU

On March 19, a delegation led by Chaiyot Sumritsakun, vice-president of Maejo University in Thailand, visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU) to explore cooperation.

Zheng Chengjun, BISU's vice-president, warmly welcomed the delegation.

During the meeting, Zheng highlighted BISU's commitment to international development and expressed enthusiasm for Maejo University joining its international network. He outlined BISU's history and proposed collaborations in Thai language, business studies, and international Chinese education, including faculty and student exchanges and joint programs.

Chaiyot thanked BISU for the warm reception and introduced Maejo University's Business and Humanities Schools.

He underscored the significance of their first visit to Beijing and the desire to establish a partnership with BISU. He also expressed confidence in achieving rapid progress in areas such as 2+2 and 3+2 degree programs, visiting scholars, international Chinese teachers, and short-term student exchanges.

The delegation toured BISU's history museum, discussed specific cooperation plans with BISU's School of Asian Studies and Business School, and delivered a lecture on Thai language to BISU students and faculty.
