
On March 10, a delegation led by Gong Bo, vice-president of Beijing International Studies University (BISU), visited the China International Communications Group (CICG) along with four BISU teachers who will participate in the training sessions at CICG.
At CICG, Gong highlighted the profound impact of recent advances in artificial intelligence on the translation industry. He expressed his hope to leverage faculty training programs, translation competitions, and particularly the newly introduced AI track, as platforms to enhance collaboration in smart translation technology and foster innovation in talent cultivation models.
He also invited CICG to provide guidance and support in talent development and priority research areas, with the goal of further enhancing the university's overall educational quality.
Yu Tao, deputy director of the CICG, expressed gratitude for BISU's long-standing support and acknowledged the significance of the faculty training program.
Yu committed to offering a robust platform and support for participating BISU faculty members, aiming to deepen collaborative innovation in "AI+" and international communication talent development.

The faculty training program at CICG stands as a strategic initiative by BISU to advance industry-education integration and deepen talent development. To date, the university has dispatched 40 faculty members over five batches to CICG for hands-on training, significantly contributing to the development of academic disciplines and bilateral cooperation.
