
Hu Guoyun, secretary of the CPC Pu'er University Committee, led a team to Beijing International Studies University (BISU) for exchanges on Jan 12.

During his welcome to Hu and his delegation, Li Biyou, secretary of the CPC BISU Committee, emphasized the university's distinct educational model, which centers on foreign languages, features tourism, and promotes multidisciplinary development, thereby cultivating a large number of highly qualified professionals.
He noted that Pu'er University, situated in China's border region, boasts a unique regional character. Li highlighted the alignment between the two universities in areas such as cultural and tourism resource development and international education, expressing BISU's readiness to engage in practical cooperation with Pu'er University.
Hu praised BISU for its contributions to national diplomacy and foreign affairs, as well as its role in promoting high-quality development in the cultural and tourism sectors.
He outlined Pu'er University's unique geographical advantages and expressed eagerness to establish an intercollegiate partnership with BISU, hoping to extend BISU's academic and professional strengths to the southwestern border regions and deepen cooperation between the two universities.
Hu and his delegation also visited BISU's history museum to learn about the university's journey and the establishment of its cultural and tourism think tank.
