
Vikram Channa, a recipient of the China Government Friendship Award, visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on Jan 9 and delivered a lecture.

Titled "China and the International Dissemination of Chinese Culture in My Eyes," the lecture was rich in case studies, sharp in observation, and profound in insight. It skillfully integrated theory with practice, providing valuable guidance and inspiration on how to effectively tell China's story and enhance international communication.

During the meeting with Vikram Channa, Zheng Chengjun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and vice-president of BISU, stated that the university is dedicated to the international dissemination of Chinese culture and the global interpretation of Chinese concepts.
He highlighted that Channer has made significant contributions to helping the world understand China and telling China's story effectively, and expressed hope that Channer could share his expertise and techniques in showcasing China and its culture through documentary filmmaking with BISU students.
Channer noted that BISU has long been dedicated to language and cultural dissemination, acting as a bridge to showcase China's image and culture globally. He anticipated using this lecture to engage in in-depth discussions with BISU students on practical approaches to documentary filmmaking and cultural dissemination, effectively telling China's story through documentaries.
Moving forward, BISU plans to invite more renowned international experts and scholars to deliver lectures, thereby broadening channels for international academic exchange and creating a high-level platform for collaboration and interaction with international scholars.
