Experts share their insight at the seminar.

At the seminar, Ji Jinbiao, secretary of the CPC BISU Committee and BISU vice-president, expressed gratitude to the attendees for their guidance.

Ji highlighted the university's strategic initiatives in "AI + foreign languages" domain, along with the latest progress in translation quality assessment using artificial intelligence. He emphasized the importance of liberal arts universities actively planning and developing intelligent science and technology disciplines amidst rapid advances in this field.

During the expert speeches and interactive discussions, participants offered constructive suggestions tailored to the university's strengths in liberal arts. Professor Yang Yixian from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications suggested leveraging the university's deep expertise in "cultural tourism" and "cultural communication" to explore integration with AI technologies.

Professor Han Shihui from Peking University stressed the need to focus on unique research areas and prepare faculty resources, particularly in the intersection of "culture + psychology + AI."

Professor Gao Xiaorong from Tsinghua University recommended focusing on AI ethics governance and policy research, aiming to cultivate talent with a strong cultural perspective. He also suggested exploring cutting-edge interdisciplinary research such as the cognitive neural mechanisms of language abilities. Tsinghua Associate Professor Gao Yanfang provided specific guidance on applying for master's and doctoral degree programs.

The seminar gathered insights from both internal and external experts, clarifying the development path and broadening the scope for the intelligent science and technology discipline. BISU will integrate the seminar's feedback into its strategic planning to further advance the development of relevant disciplines and talent cultivation.
