
Liang Shuang, an Italian language teacher from the School of European Studies at Beijing International Studies University (BISU), was awarded the Leone d'Oro at the recent 20th China Awards ceremony.
The event, jointly organized by the Italy-China Council Foundation and Class Editori, recognized her work in promoting cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Liang has showcased China to Italian audiences through a series of short videos, amassing over 1.7 million followers across all social media platforms and achieving over 100 million views.
She has also been interviewed multiple times by mainstream media outlets such as Italy's national television, and has transformed her digital content into published comic books, achieving a multidimensional exchange from online influence to offline impact and from public dissemination to cross-institutional collaboration.
This award highlights Liang's commitment to enhancing international communication capabilities in her teaching and research. It also highlights BISU's distinctive approach to Sino-foreign cultural exchange and serves as a concentrated display of the university's efforts in supporting the national cultural strategy and cultivating high-quality talents with an international perspective and cross-cultural communication skills.

The Leone d'Oro award is the highest annual individual honor in the China Awards series. Past recipients have all made substantial contributions to promoting Sino-Italian relations in their respective fields.
