BISU leader attends presidents' forum of Sino-Russian university alliance

The presidents' forum of Sino-Russian university alliance on "Russia-China Cooperation: Education, Economy, Digitalization" was held in Novosibirsk, Russia from Dec 3 to 5. Beijing International Studies University (BISU) was represented at the plenary session by its vice-president Zheng Chengjun, who joined the event via video link.

Zheng delivered a keynote speech titled "Strategic Cooperation and the Mission of Sino-Russian Universities in the Digital Age." He stated that universities in both countries should strengthen cooperation in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and virtual reality as these are reshaping teaching, research, and management methods.

In the future, BISU will continue to promote Sino-Russian cultural exchanges through digital cooperation, enhancing mutual learning between the two civilizations and supporting broader bilateral relations.

Representatives from nearly 30 leading universities in the alliance focused on educational cooperation and industry development between the two countries, shared experiences in alliance building, discussed future development directions, and planned for the future of education in both nations.
