
A delegation from the International Confucian Association (ICA), led by Xu Yongji, deputy secretary-general of ICA and director of the Membership Liaison Committee, visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on Sept 28 to discuss potential collaboration and exchange initiatives.

Li Biyou, secretary of the CPC BISU Committee, met with Xu and his delegation, and Zheng Chengjun, vice-president of the university and a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee, was also in attendance.
Xu provided an overview of ICA's history, membership structure and global cooperation efforts. He expressed a desire to strengthen collaboration with BISU in the areas of international exchange and cultural dissemination, aiming to further enhance the ICA's influence.
Li welcomed the ICA delegation and acknowledged the ICA's role as a key academic platform for promoting traditional Chinese culture and sharing China's stories in the new era. He emphasized that this mission aligning closely with BISU's educational orientation centered on "new-era people-to-people exchange".
Looking ahead, he expressed hope for enhanced resource sharing and deepened cooperative efforts to contribute to the global promotion of Chinese culture.
During the meeting, the two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on teaching practices, co-hosting events and brand building, and they reached multiple consensuses on cultivating international talent and effectively conveying China's narrative.
