Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Consular Service Center visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU) to deliver a briefing on consular affairs on Sept 16.
The event was attended by international freshmen, current international students, and those preparing for overseas exchange or further study, which was led by Zhan Gong, deputy director of the BISU International Exchange and Cooperation Office.
Tian Ziwei from the Consular Service Center delivered a comprehensive overview of consular legalization, highlighting essential topics such as graduate certificate, non-criminal record applications, and visa extension and renewals.

Tian Ziwei delivers a lecture to BISU students.
Tailored to the needs of international students, Tian also explained the procedures and documentation required for the Internship Annotation on the Student Residence Permit and the registration of temporary residence in China, offering one-stop consultation services.
The 2025 international freshmen engaged by taking notes and raising questions regarding post-enrollment documentation procedures. Through case analysis and Q&A sessions, the staff translated complex regulations into clear guidance.

The students ask questions about the consular service.
The lecture exemplifies the Consular Service Center's commitment to extending services directly to university. It also reflects BISU's ongoing efforts to cultivate globally competent talent and strengthen services for both domestic and international students.
BISU will continue to collaborate with high-quality external partners to provide more targeted services, thereby advancing its global engagement.
