BISU's Arab Studies journal continues to be included in CSSCI

Beijing International Studies University (BISU)'s journal Arab Studies has once again been selected for inclusion in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (2025-26). Having been consistently included Since 2021, the journal's continued presence in the CSSCI reflects sustained recognition of both its academic quality and influence.

The Arab Studies journal has received the certificate from the Chinese Social Science Research Evaluation Center of Nanjing University.

The journal is also included in several other authoritative data indexes, such as the AMI, CNKI, CNI and the National Center for Philosophy and Social Science Documentation.

Founded in 2015, the Arab Studies journal is an academic collection jointly published by BISU's China-Arab Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Research Center, the Arab Research Center, the School of Middle Eastern Studies and the Social Sciences Academic Press. It is published twice a year.

The journal focuses on research in areas such as politics, economy, society, culture, tourism, diplomacy and language in Arab countries. It currently features sections like China-Arab Cultural and Tourism Studies, Country and Regional Studies and Language, Culture and Teaching Research. The journal invites submissions from renowned experts, young scholars and industry professionals both domestically and internationally, and it holds significant academic influence and social recognition.

 The Arab Studies journal focuses on research on various aspects of Arab countries.

CSSCI is a Chinese humanities and social sciences literature information retrieval system database developed by the Chinese Social Science Research Evaluation Center of Nanjing University in 1998, commissioned by the Ministry of Education.

The database is designed to track the inclusion and citation of papers in the Chinese humanities and social sciences field. It is one of the most influential and authoritative core journal evaluation systems for humanities and social sciences in China. The list of CSSCI source journals (collections) is updated and released on a biennial basis.
