The Journal of BISU receives the certificate from the Chinese Social Science Research Evaluation Center of Nanjing University.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in the journal's ongoing enhancement of publication quality and academic influence, following its inclusion in the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese Humanities and Social Science Journals and A Guide to the Core Journals of China.

Founded in 1979, the journal is a scholarly periodical on foreign languages and literature. It is approved by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television and supervised by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and published by BISU.

It is distributed domestically and internationally. Since its comprehensive revamp in 2017, the Journal has consistently adhered to its unique editorial features, tracking academic frontiers, promoting international people-to-people cultural exchanges, and serving the construction of foreign language disciplines and teaching practices.

It has published numerous original and leading academic achievements. Its special columns, such as "Language Services", "Translator Behavior Studies", "Multimodality", "Ecological Discourse", "Ecolinguistics", "Ecotranslatology", "Post-editing", "Literary Ethics", "Second Language Acquisition", "AI Empowerment in Foreign Language Teaching" and "Teacher Development" have received excellent feedback in academic circles.

The journal has also hosted academic conferences, such as "Foreign Language Education in the New Era: Dilemmas, Challenges, and Solutions" and the four consecutive "National Forum on Translator Behavior Studies", which have been widely welcomed by foreign language educators.

Through decades of effort by the Journal's team, its influence in academia has continuously expanded. It has repeatedly been selected as an important reprint source by China Social Science Excellence and has been rated as an Excellent Social Science Journal of National Universities and a Famous Social Science Journal of Beijing Universities. In 2023, the Journal's "Language Services" column was awarded the Feature Column Award.

Developed by the Chinese Social Science Research Evaluation Center of Nanjing University, the CSSCI is used to index and cite papers in the field of Chinese humanities and social sciences.

It is an important tool for literature information retrieval and academic evaluation in China's humanities and social sciences that is recognized for its authority and significant influence in China's academic and journal circles. Being selected as a CSSCI expanded edition source journal signifies that the journal's publication quality and standards have received unanimous recognition from important domestic evaluation institutions and widespread support from academic experts and scholars.
