Beijing International Studies University (BISU) held its 2025 graduation ceremony and degree conferral on June 27.
Over 3,000 attendees, including graduates and their families, witnessed this significant moment as the graduates embarked on a new chapter in their lives.
Among this year's graduates, there were 12 outstanding students, including Du Xinyuan, who have chosen to work in remote western regions and grassroots positions.
The ceremony was presided over by Gong Bo, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and vice-president of the university.

In his inspiring speech titled "Believe in the Power of Language, Stay in Tune with the Times", Ji Jinbiao, deputy secretary of the CPC BISU Committee and president of the university, commended the students for their growth, dedication, patriotism, and pursuit of excellence during their time at the university.
Ji emphasized aligning with national development priorties and serving the people, positioning language as a bridge to enhance intercultural exchange. He urged the graduates to delve deeply into their professional domains with tenacity, while encouraging them to pursue personal freedom and independence—advancing with confidence, self-discipline, and purpose.

During the ceremony, university leaders presented graduation certificates, honorary certificates, and alumni council appointment letters to the graduate representatives.
At the degree conferral ceremony, Ji posed for commemorative photos with graduates, extending personal congratulations. University leadership, joined by deans of all academic units, performed the tassel-turning ritual for each candidate—a solemn tradition symbolizing scholarly achievement.
A group of 12 graduates from different colleges represented their peers in speeches about their future career in academic research, service in the West, cultural exchanges and military service, embodying the multifaceted excellence of BISU graduates.
During the ceremony, graduate representatives completed a puzzle bearing the names of 2,513 graduates, presenting it as a special gift to their alma mater.

Graduate representatives performed the original AI song "Your Names" and a multilingual rendition of the song "Shine", expressing gratitude and blessings to their alma mater, and evoking memories of youth for everyone.
