From May 7 to 13, Zhang Yan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing International Studies University (BISU) Committee and vice-president of the university, led a delegation to Japan and South Korea to visit cooperating universities and companies, including Kyorin University, Digital Hollywood University, Josai International University, and Recruiting Notes Communications in Japan, as well as the University of Seoul, Duksung Women's University, and Seoul National University of Science & Technology in South Korea.
On May 7, Zhang and the delegation visited Recruiting Notes Communications in Japan. They engaged in fruitful discussions with the CEO and department heads focusing on student cross-border internships, overseas employment, establishing an international communication talent training base, student internships in Japan, and setting up internship bases. The visit culminated in the signing of an internship cooperation agreement.
On May 8, the delegation visited Digital Hollywood University, with which BISU has maintained a friendly cooperation relationship for nearly 40 years.
Discussions were held regarding potential collaborative training for students majoring in languages as well as in beauty arts and business between the two universities.
Zhang introduced BISU's summer program and master's program on "An Overview of Modern China and City Development" for international students, as well as its courses on "Chinese+Tourism" and "Chinese+Business".
The parties renewed their inter-school framework agreement and project agreement to expand opportunities for students to study, exchange, intern, and work in Japan.
The delegation visited Kyorin University on the same day. Discussions were held with key figures from Kyorin University regarding ongoing cooperation projects and the establishment of overseas cultural promotion bases.
Zhang also engaged in discussions with BISU's students studying in the university to learn about their study and life in Japan.
On May 9, the delegation visited Josai International University. A supplementary cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities.
The two sides discussed academic exchanges and joint research initiatives in humanities, international relations, and business.
Zhang announced plans for a deepened practical platform in collaboration with the Japanese side. Gong Wei, advisor to the president of Josai International University, was appointed as a visiting professor at BISU on the same day.

During the visit, Zhang and the delegation also met with members of BISU's Tokyo Alumni Association to further expand internship opportunities for its students in Japan, attract Japanese talents and students to work and study in China, and receive suggestions on enhancing BISU's international influence.

On May 11, during their visit to South Korea, the delegation met with exchange students from BISU in Seoul to know about their study and life.
They also attended an alumni meeting to understand the talent needs of Chinese-funded enterprises abroad and to conduct overseas enterprise visits and expand job opportunities.
On May 12, the delegation initiated a groundbreaking partnership with Duksung Women's University in South Korea, marking the establishment of a new collaboration. During the visit, they formalized this alliance by signing a memorandum of understanding and delved into plans for student exchange projects.

On the same day, the delegation paid a visit to the University of Seoul, where the vice-president highlighted the institution's unique teaching model and its collaboration with enterprises. The two sides formalized their collaboration through the signing of an inter-university cooperation agreement, engaging in discussions on student exchanges, 2+2 dual degree programs, and teacher exchanges.
On May 13, Zhang and the delegation met with leaders from Seoul National University of Science & Technology to discuss cooperation on training composite talents in "foreign language + business" and to exchange experiences in academic exchanges and joint research, as well as international communication and cultural dissemination.
In recent years, BISU has actively expanded and consolidated cooperation with universities in Japan and South Korea, with increasing academic exchanges as well as student and faculty interactions.
The visits have promoted BISU's premium courses for international students, enhanced practical cooperation and close relationships with overseas universities, and increased BISU's visibility and influence in higher education in Japan and South Korea.
