Beijing International Studies University (BISU) recently selected five students to provide high-level language services for the Investment Cooperation Promotion Conference organized by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) International Cooperation Center during the high-level activities between the leaders of China and Azerbaijan.
The students showcased their professional skills, by handling key tasks such as conference material translation, on-site interpretation, and foreign guest reception. Their outstanding performance earned high praise from both organizers and attendees.
The NDRC International Cooperation Center expressed their gratitude in a letter, acknowledging the students' international competence and cross-cultural communication skills, which once again demonstrate the remarkable results of BISU's foreign language talent cultivation.
The NDRC International Cooperation Center sends a letter of appreciation to BISU students.
At the beginning of this semester, Zhang Yan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and vice-president of the university, led a delegation to the NDRC International Cooperation Center for an exchange visit.
The two sides held productive discussions on topics such as innovating talent cultivation models, deepening industry-academia-research collaboration, and expanding internship and employment channels.
Building on the strong foundation of prior cooperation, the two parties reached an important strategic consensus to carry out in-depth collaboration in key areas such as talent cultivation, major research projects, and international programs.
BISU will leverage its distinctive talent cultivation approach of "multilingual proficiency and interdisciplinary expertise" to fully align with the international development needs of the International Cooperation Center, jointly establishing a collaborative innovation mechanism to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefits.
In previous cooperative efforts, BISU has fully utilized its multilingual talent advantages to complete important tasks entrusted by the International Cooperation Center, including material translation, content proofreading, and conference support.
The further advancement of this strategic partnership marks a new phase of high-quality development in the collaboration between the two sides. Taking this opportunity, both parties will work together to make new and greater contributions to the implementation of China's opening-up strategy and international cultural exchanges in the new era.
As a public institution directly under the NDRC, the International Cooperation Center has long been committed to serving the national "Belt and Road" initiative and international production capacity cooperation. Its orientation aligns closely with BISU's mission of fostering cultural exchanges between China and other countries, providing a solid foundation for collaboration.
