BISU holds job fair for economics and management majors

On April 15, Beijing International Studies University(BISU)'s School of Economics, in conjunction with the China Association of Trade in Services, hosted a job fair for students majoring in management and economics.

A total of high-quality employers, including the China Agricultural Association for International Exchange, Besteasy (Beijing) Language Technology Co Ltd, and Bravolinks Integrated Marketing Co Ltd, offered over 210 job and internship positions at the event. Students inquired about company culture, job responsibilities and career development paths from representatives of companies.

During the event, Zhang Yan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and vice-president of the university, engaged in discussions with company representatives.

Zhang emphasized that new-generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data are profoundly reshaping the economic and social landscape, demanding higher quality from talent.

He stressed the need to adapt to the trend of digital economic development, accelerate curriculum reform, focus on enhancing students' digital literacy, technical understanding, and interdisciplinary integration capabilities, and cultivate more management and economics talents with innovative spirit and comprehensive abilities to support the country's strategic development.

The job fair featured a "Face-to-Face with Companies" TikTok live interaction segment, where representatives of faculty and students from the School of Economics introduced the school's distinctive advantages in cultivating multilingual and interdisciplinary talents and showcased the core competitiveness of graduates in the job market.

The HR manager of China Beijing Everest Financial Services Co Ltd analyzed the talent demand in the financial sector starting from industry development trends, emphasizing the importance of balancing professional skills with keen insights.

Xianniu (Beijing) Technology Co Ltd's technical director gave a presentation on the theme of "New Career Opportunities in the Digital Era", introducing the cutting-edge technological developments and encouraging students to seize employment opportunities in digital transformation.

Participating companies praised the solid professional foundation, strong practical skills, outstanding communication and teamwork abilities, and overall qualities of BISU students, saying that they align well with current workplace requirements.

A representative from a financial technology company said, "Students demonstrated good communication skills, career planning awareness, and job fit, fully showcasing the school's 'practice-oriented education' achievements."

This job fair tailored to management and economics majors provided a platform for graduates to connect with job opportunities and also accumulated valuable experience for the school to further advance its employment efforts.

The school is committed to continuously enhancing its employment guidance services, broaden high-quality job resources, and contribute more to promoting high-quality employment for it graduates.
