On March 6, Beijing International Studies University (BISU) celebrated the 115th International Women's Day with the theme "Shining with the Spirit of the Times, Blooming with Feminine Elegance". Over 80 outstanding female faculty representatives participated in the event. Ji Jinbiao, deputy secretary of the CPC BISU Committee and president of the university, extended holiday greetings and heartfelt wishes to all female faculty members on behalf of the university.
He fully acknowledged and sincerely thanked them for their significant contributions to the university's development. He pointed out that the female faculty is an essential force in promoting the university's high-quality development, distinctive talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services, laying a solid foundation for the university's achievements with their diligent work and selfless dedication.
He expressed hope that the female faculty would continue to uphold the glorious tradition of perseverance and self-confidence under the guidance of the "15th Five-Year Plan" blueprint, achieving success in both career and life, and creating a brighter future for BISU.

A grand award ceremony was held at the event. Outstanding female teachers who received the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Medal and the university's "Women of Excellence" honor were recognized.
Zhang Xihua, a recipient of the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Medal, shared her teaching insights and experiences. She stated that as a female teacher at a foreign language university, it is important to tell China's story well on the international stage and to listen to students' voices, guiding their growth. She called on all female faculty members to unite under the strong leadership of the university's Party Committee, to nurture virtue and foster talent.

As representatives of the university's "Women of Excellence", Zhang Ke, professor at the School of European Studies and Zheng Hong, associate professor at the School of Tourism Sciences, shared touching stories of growing together with the university and students.
Zhang Ying, a master craftsman and an inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of imperial flower arranging, along with her team, was invited to BISU to host a workshop for female faculty members. They demonstrated their exquisite skills and provided detailed explanations, allowing the participating female faculty to deeply appreciate the charm and essence of traditional Chinese cultural arts through hands-on imperial flower arranging.
