BISU's leaders visit faculty, staff and students on Spring Festival Eve

As Spring Festival approaches, on behalf of Chang Yu, secretary of the CPC Beijing International Studies University (BISU) Committee and Ji Jinbiao, deputy-secretary of the CPC BISU Committee and president of the university, Li Zhen, deputy secretary of the CPC BISU Committee, Zhang Yan, vice-president of the university, and Zhang Xihua, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and minister of BISU's United Front Work Department, visited and extended warm greetings and New Year blessings to the faculty and staff on duty at the university, as well as to the Chinese and international students staying on campus during Spring Festival. 

Li and Zhang visited various sites on campus, including the dining center, campus service center (boiler room) and apartment complex. They presented tokens of appreciation and festive greetings to the staff on duty on Spring Festival Eve and thanked them for their hard work.

They engaged in friendly conversations, inquired about their work and living conditions during their shifts, listened to reports on work arrangements and service guarantees during the holiday, and reminded everyone to take care of themselves. They hoped that in the new year everyone would further strengthen their sense of responsibility, provide excellent service and create a more harmonious and stable campus environment for all students and staff.

The staff on duty expressed their determination to live up to the university's expectations. They pledged to dedicate themselves in the new year with even greater enthusiasm to contribute to its high-quality development.

Li also led a team to inspect the construction sites on campus. During Spring Festival, construction projects on campus were temporarily suspended. Li paid particular attention to the setting up of site enclosures, scaffolding construction and the arrangement of building materials, emphasizing the need to further eliminate safety hazards, laying a solid foundation for ensuring campus safety and stability during Spring Festival.

Zhang attended the Chinese and international students' Spring Festival celebration, wishing over 200 students a happy Spring Festival and encouraging them to pursue new dreams in the Year of the Snake. He also presented awards to outstanding international student volunteer representatives for the year 2024 and representatives of the members from model dormitories.

The celebration had a lively and joyous atmosphere and featured performances of songs and dances, as well as interactive activities such as knowledge quizzes under the theme of "Sending off the Year of the Dragon, Welcoming the Year of the Snake".

The celebration attracted attention and coverage from China International Television, Beijing TV, Beijing Daily and other media outlets.

BISU's Yanqing campus also held Spring Festival celebration activities, expressing gratitude to frontline teachers and staff and presenting them with festive greetings and appreciation.
