BISU receives Lunar New Year greetings from Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria

As the Chinese Lunar New Year approaches, Beijing International Studies University (BISU) has received greetings from the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria. The letter expresses gratitude for the university's strong support for the embassy in 2024 and its active contributions to deepening traditional friendship and cooperation in various fields between the two countries.

The letter states the embassy is willing to work hand in hand with BISU to expand and deepen exchanges and cooperation, injecting strong momentum into the healthy and stable development of Sino-Bulgarian relations.

The year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bulgaria.

During last year's Slavonic Language and Literature Day in Bulgariaon May 24, a foreign teacher from BISU who teaches Bulgarian and an undergraduate student learning the language were interviewed by China Media Group (CMG) and the interview was later aired on CRI Online.

Last June, the 5th China-Central and Eastern European Countries Cultural and Creative Industries Forum was held in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria. The forum was initiated and continuously hosted by BISU's National Institute of Cultural Development and the Academic Research Platform for National Cultural Trade.

It was warmly welcomed by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and it also received strong support and assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria and other institutions.

The 5th China-Central and Eastern European Countries Cultural and Creative Industries Forum was held in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria in June 2024.

And last year, BISU also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the University of National and World Economy in Bulgaria.
