On Dec 19, Zhang Wenqiong, deputy director of the Beijing Science and Technology Talents Development Center, led a research team to visit the Beijing International Studies University (BISU).  

Zheng Chengjun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and vice-president of the university, briefed Zhang and her delegation on the university's talent development and foreign teachers.

He emphasized that the university is currently exploring reforms in talent development models empowered by artificial intelligence, aiming to cultivate top-notch innovative personnel with cross-cultural communication abilities.  

He said that foreign faculty, as an important force in BISU's teaching, have made outstanding contributions to the university's discipline construction, talent cultivation, and scientific research. He stressed that BISU attaches great importance to foreign teachers, issuing relevant documents, establishing activity brand and creating a good working and living environment for them.

He hoped that under the guidance of the Beijing S&T Talents Development Center, the university will strengthen foreign teacher management services and attract more talents for deepening cross-cultural exchanges.

In her remarks, Zhang briefed the audiences on the basic information and main responsibilities of the talents development center.

She stated that Beijing has always attached great importance to foreign talents, issuing a series of policies and measures to attract and cultivate more outstanding foreign professionals to contribute to the capital's technological innovation and development.

She praised BISU's foreign-teacher related achievements and said she hopes for deeper cooperation and exchanges with BISU in the field of foreign expert projects.
