The annual conference of the Alliance of Chinese-Russian Language Education Universities, hosted by Heilongjiang University, was held by Heilongjiang University in Harbin on Dec 10 and 11.

Ji Jinbiao, deputy secretary of the CPC Beijing International Studies University (BISU) Committee and president of the university, was invited to attend the meeting.

Ji delivered a keynote address themed "Initiating Digital Education Cooperation to Forge a New Mechanism for Sino-Russian Educational Cooperation", focusing on the new dynamism in educational exchanges and digital education cooperation between China and Russia.

He pointed out that digital education has established an efficient platform for language learning and cultural exchange and offered suggestions on discipline building and innovative development of Sino-Russian educational cooperation.

Ji signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Wang Jingbo and Jing Liqiang, president and vice-president of Heilongjiang University, regarding discipline development, regional and national research and joint cultivation of doctoral students.
