BISU awarded by China Tourism Association

Beijing International Studies University (BISU) was recently awarded the title of "Outstanding Institution" by the Tourism Education Branch of the China Tourism Association.

The school has achieved remarkable results over the past year in talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services.

It held a travel planning competition on the history of the Communist Party of China, with a total of 28,000 students and teachers participating, and the number of submissions reached new heights. It also closely cooperated with Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events to build an experimental class and an "Exhibition Talents Training Base".

Two research bases of the university has been approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It was also selected as part of the ministry’s first batch of Technology Innovation Centers.

It hosted brand academic events such as the China Youth Tourism Forum and the Tourism Graduating Students’ Annual Academic Conference.

More than 60 papers were published in top journals in the past year, and students and teachers participated in more than 100 academic conferences at home and abroad. 

BISU has been continuously providing intellectual support for the high-quality development of the culture and tourism sector, submitting more than 20 advisory reports to different levels of governments.

In addition, it hosted the first national advanced digital cultural and tourism training program for teachers, providing new ideas for talent cultivation.

As a vice president unit of the Tourism Education Branch of the China Tourism Association, BISU will continue to leverage its strengths, and integrate resources to contribute to the development of tourism disciplines and the culture and tourism industries.
