Uzbekistani education officials visit BISU

A group of officials from the education sector of Uzbekistan visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BISU) on Jan 5 to discuss deepening cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) and the university.

Chinese and Uzbekistani education officials hold a meeting to discuss cooperation at BISU on Jan 5.

Zheng Chengjun, a member of the standing committee of the CPC BISU committee and vice-president of the university, extended a warm welcome to the delegation.

He expressed gratitude for the continuous support to BISU from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation and its embassy in China.

Liu Jianqing, director of the Europe-Asia Division of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the MOE, briefed the Uzbekistan side on the latest preparations for the Sino-Uzbek educational exchange activities and provided specific details regarding the arrangements.

Otabek Fayazov, acting director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of Uzbekistan, highly praised and thanked BISU for their efforts in promoting educational cooperation with his country. He also provided suggestions in terms of further cooperation.
