Hao Zhao, director-general of the International Economic and Technical Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Water Resources, led a delegation to Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on Dec 1.

Ji Jinbiao, deputy secretary of the CPC BISU Committee and president of the university, discussed strategic cooperation with the delegation at a meeting.

Ji extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He briefed them on BISU's history, advantageous disciplines, social services, international exchanges, talent cultivation and its cooperation with enterprises.

According to Ji, the advantageous disciplines and talent cultivation of the university are highly compatible with the needs of the Center, so there is great space for cooperation between the two parties. BISU is willing to contribute to the international development of China's water conservancy industry, particularly in international communication.

After expressing his gratitude for the warm reception, Hao provided an overview of the Center's international operations, including the establishment of an international think tank, international cooperation, international communication and relative personnel training. He praised BISU's strong faculty, distinctive talent cultivation models and high-quality graduates.

He shared his hope that cooperation between the two sides can be further deepened and a long-term strategic partnership built.

The two sides discussed promoting strategic cooperation at the meeting. Both agreed to establish a strategic partnership and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, which outlines cooperation in various aspects, including the establishment of talent cultivation bases, international communication collaboration, cooperation in monitoring foreign public opinion in terms of water conservancy and cooperation of the two Party committees.
