Zhang Yan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Foreign Studies University (BISU) Committee and vice-president of the university, led a delegation to China First Highway Engineering Co Ltd (CFHEC) in Beijing on Dec 5 to promote the employment of BISU students, especially the 2024 graduates.

After visiting CFHEC’s exhibition hall, Zhang had a meeting with Liu Dongyuan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC CFHEC Committee and vice president of the group, as well as Zhao Wei, deputy secretary of the commission for discipline inspection of CFHEC.
Liu warmly welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the group’s development. He highlighted the company’s talent development strategy and efforts in spreading Chinese culture in its business.
Zhang expressed gratitude for the warm reception from CFHEC and introduced BISU's history, disciplines, student employment strategy and internships, as well as its strategic blueprint.

Both sides agreed to enhance their cooperation. Preliminary agreements have been reached on enhancing the educational qualifications of overseas staff, combining cultural promotion with company operations, developing multilingual digital platforms, offering international legal consulting services for different regions and countries and establishing practical training bases for domestic and international internships.

They signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, which could facilitate the hiring of BISU students by CFHEC and the cooperation between the two sides in scientific research.
