BISU to strengthen collaboration with UNA-China for talent cultivation

On September 12, a delegation led by Cheng Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and vice-president of the university, embarked on a visit to the United Nations Association China (UNA-China) with the aim of fostering expanded collaboration between the two organizations.

During the visit, UNA-China Vice-President Hu Wenli warmly received Cheng and her delegation. Hu provided an overview of UNA-China's mission and recent endeavors, with a particular emphasis on its dedication to partnering with universities in cultivating talent for international organizations through a diverse array of distinctive programs and initiatives.

Hu praised the partnership between UNA-China and BISU, highlighting the substantial impact of their joint initiatives, notably the National United Nations Knowledge Contest for College Students, which has evolved into a flagship program. 

She conveyed her aspirations for further collaboration and the establishment of an even broader cooperative platform to facilitate expanded joint undertakings within the realm of international talent development.

Cheng expressed heartfelt gratitude for UNA-China's enduring support of BISU's pursuits. 

She shared BISU's endeavors in talent development and academic disciplines, underscoring the university's unwavering commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who possess a "multilingual and multidisciplinary" skill set, as well as a profound sense of national pride and a global perspective. 

Cheng emphasized BISU's steadfast dedication to the training of professionals in diplomacy, foreign affairs, and international organizations, thereby contributing to the nation's progress.

Furthermore, Cheng underscored BISU's unwavering commitment to sustained collaboration with UNA-China and presented a series of recommendations for future cooperative endeavors and key areas of focus.
