Edmond Cane graduated in English Studies from the University of Tirana in 1988. He pursued a Master's degree in Linguistics from 2006 to 2009 and completed his doctoral studies in Linguistics in 2016 at the Inter-University Center of Albanian Studies. He has had a long career in teaching English, including courses for IELTS, FCE, CAE, TOEFL, SAT, and more. Since 2018, he has been teaching Albanian at BISU.
Additionally, he conducts research in language acquisition, general linguistics, grammar studies, and typology. His primary focus lies in cross-linguistic studies from the perspectives of Construction Grammar (CG) and Cognitive Linguistics (CL). He has actively participated in several conferences and workshops, mainly related to CG and CL, such as ICCG9 (Brazil), ICCG10 (France), ICCG11 (Belgium), ICLC 14 (Estonia), cognitive linguistics conferences in Poland and Spain, and typological conferences in Saint Petersburg, among others.
