Dace Ratniece is the informal director of the Latvian program at BISU and a professor. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate. She is the author of many scientific articles on the use of digital technologies to enhance university students' motivation. Her works have been published in renowned databases of cited scientific literature, including SCOPUS, Elsevier, Science Direct, Springer, and Thomson Reuters.
She has previously served as the director of the Department of European Regional Development Fund Investments and the director of the Policy Coordination Department at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia.
Since 2015, she has been a member of the Board of the Distance Education Centre of Latvia. In 2019, she opened and participated in the Week for Science and Peace in Beijing, organized by the United Nations.
She has pursued various educational qualifications and has served as a high school principal and teacher. With extensive teaching experience and an equally significant background in state administration institutions, she has worked in different ministries.
