Anton Panchev is from Bulgaria. He started his education at the University of Sofia “Saint Kliment Ohridski” in 1997, first graduating with a Master's degree in Political Studies in 2003, followed by a Master's degree in Balkan Studies, obtained between 2000 and 2005, and a Master's degree in Law, obtained between 2006-2014.
In 2013, he successfully defended a Ph.D. thesis and received the title Doctor of Political Sciences. From 2009 to 2020 he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Balkan Studies, where he taught Albanian language and several elective courses dedicated to the political developments in the Balkans.
Since August 2020, he has been a lecturer teaching Bulgarian Language and Literature, Bulgarian Politics and History, Academic Writing, EU Studies, etc. at the Beijing International Studies University, School of European Studies. He has over 60 scientific papers, published in several countries, with topics on Bulgarian - Balkan countries relations from a historical, political and linguistic point of view.
He has participated in over 40 scientific conferences in Bulgaria and other countries and has translated many books and other texts from different languages to Bulgarian and vice-versa.
