On June 17, the 7th China Youth Tourism Forum was held at the Beijing International Studies University (BISU). The forum was jointly organized by BISU and Beijing Tourism Society, with the university's School of Tourism Sciences and Office of Research as the hosts.

The forum, with the theme "Chinese Path to Modernization Leads the High-Quality Development of Cultural Tourism Research", attracted over 300 scholars, graduate students, and industry professionals from more than 100 universities.
During the keynote speech session, renowned experts and scholars discussed the theoretical frontiers and practical phenomena of cultural and tourism research under the guidance of the Chinese path to modernization. They delivered theme reports on topics such as high-quality development, tourism theory speculation, service marketing innovation in the era of AI, and Chinese tourism investment, triggering strong resonance and deep thinking among young tourism scholars.

The forum also featured seven parallel forums talking about tourism economy, red tourism, and big data and digital cultural tourism. Through high-level academic dialogues, exchange of experiences, sharing of cutting-edge research, and Q&A sessions, the forums explored methods and approaches to promote high-quality development in culture and tourism.
Notably, at the sub-forum on red tourism, the China Red Tourism Research Institute of Beijing International Studies University was officially inaugurated. The institute aims to cultivate professionals in red tourism, provide intellectual support for the development of the red tourism industry, effectively integrate research resources, promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and facilitate the high-quality development of red tourism.
BISU Vice-President Zhang Yan, and Wu Wenxue, vice-president of the China International Public Relations Association and honorary dean of the university's School of Tourism Sciences, presented appointment letters to the first batch of researchers.
