Madelein Carolina Gonzalez was born in Venezuela, with eight years of experience living in China. She holds a master's degree in Translation and interpreting and a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language both from Beijing International Studies University (BISU). She participated in the translation project of the Belt and Road Initiative from the Institute of Latin American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Science and some other translation projects. Author of the article "China's Socio-Economic Role in Latin America and Future Ways of Cooperation" for the Sino-Ibero American Interaction Journal and "Philosophers in Chinese's History" for the Australian magazine Translating China. Served as interpreter for international events, such as the 2018 Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools Competition and small meetings. Currently she is working as a professor of Spanish, Spanish translation and interpreting at the school of Interpreting and Translation in BISU.
