BISU bridges China-Uzbekistan youth dialogue

Beijing International Studies University (BISU) organized a youth dialogue between China and Uzbekistan at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on April 28, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. 

Jiang Yonggang, president of the CICG Center for Europe and Asia (China Pictorial Publications), led a delegation to the university. They were warmly welcomed by Zou Tongqian, assistant to BISU president and vice-president of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The dialogue was centered around the theme of "Fostering friendly cooperation and cultural exchanges among China, Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and countries along the Silk Road". The purpose was to delve into how the youth of both China and Uzbekistan can expand their influence and facilitate deeper cultural exchanges, promoting mutual understanding and enhancing ties between the two nations.

This seminar aimed to promote exchanges and cooperation between universities in China and Uzbekistan, in areas such as inter-university exchange, talent cultivation, cultural communication, and policy research. It also sought to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between young postgraduates and undergraduates from both nations, while contributing to the cultivation of high-quality and interdisciplinary talents with an international perspective, to serve the development and construction of countries and regions along the Belt and Road Initiative.
