Chang Yu, secretary of the CPC BISU Committee, met with Barney Glover, vice-chancellor and president of Western Sydney University (WSU). The two universities signed a cooperation agreement during Glover's visit.

Chang emphasized BISU's commitment to international exchanges and cooperation and expressed a willingness to collaborate with WSU on various levels.

Glover acknowledged WSU's position as a top-ranked university in the 2022 Times Higher Education Rankings and similarly expressed a desire to work with BISU. He also pledged to advance the implementation of their various projects.

The agreement was signed by Glover and Zheng Chengjun, vice-president of Beijing International Studies University, signifying both institutions' commitment to partnership.
