Beijing International Studies University (BISU) established an association on science and technology on March 9. Ji Jinbiao, deputy Party secretary and president of BISU; and Zheng Chengjun, a member of the CPC BISU Standing Committee and vice-president of BISU, attended the event.

On the first congress of the association, 17 members were selected, with Ji as the chairman and Zheng as the executive vice-chairman.
Ji Jinbiao, president of the university and also the newly-selected chairman of the association, delivers a speech.
In his speech, Ji asked the association to conscientiously perform the duties of serving scientific and technological workers, improve the quality of science teachers and students, serve the university's cultivation of young talents, and promote the university's teaching standards.
Ji said that with the establishment of the association, the academic environment of the university will be further improved and that technological workers will be more enthusiastic about their work.
