Beijing International Studies University (BISU) celebrated a famous Uzbekistan  poet Alisher Navoi on his 582nd birthday on Mar 11. The event was in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the People's Republic of China.

During the event, BISU President Ji Jinbiao had an in-depth exchange with Uzbekistan's Ambassador to China Farhod Arziev on continuing to develop educational cooperation and scientific research between BISU and Uzbeki universities.

Arziev expressed his gratitude to BISU for its long-term support of international exchanges in education in Uzbekistan. 

Experts and scholars from both China and Uzbekistan were invited to share their views and achievements on poet Navoi and his works. They also shared the history and achievements of higher education institutions in the two countries in the development of language, culture, and literature education and research.
