On Mar 4, at the 4th Member Congress of China Tourism Education in Guangzhou, Professor Lyu Ning, Dean of the BISU School of Tourism Sciences, was elected vice-president, and Professor Gu Huimin was elected secretary-general.

More than 400 participants, including experts and scholars, special guests, and member representatives nationwide, attended the meeting. 

Lyu gave a keynote speech on the construction of the educational system of higher tourism education during a forum running parallel to the event.

The China Tourism Education has been rated as an excellent branch of the China Tourism Association for four consecutive years. As the founding member of China Tourism Education, BISU has served as a vice-president unit for three consecutive years.
