Established in December 2018, the Department of Basic Sciences consists of the general office, mathematics teaching and research office and computer teaching and research office. It is responsible for compulsory and elective courses in computing and teaching work, and for compulsory courses of mathematics majors.
The department has 15 faculty members, including 12 full-time teachers. Of these full-time teachers, there is one professor, three associate professors and six teachers with a doctoral degree.
The department aims to improve students’ scientific literacy and computational thinking abilities, cultivating high-level and applicable professionals with an international vision and patriotism.
