A seminar on the Research on the construction of tourism service quality evaluation system (Hereinafter referred to as "Research") was held at the Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on July 28. The research was entrusted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and carried out by BISU’s China Academy of Culture and Tourism (CACT).

Wu Liyun, spokesman of the research project and associate professor of CACT, gave a briefing on relevant information of the research. The construction of tourism service quality evaluation system is one of key tasks of the cultural and tourism sectors. It was also included in the Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and Vision 2035 of the People's Republic of China. The department of marketing management of the ministry entrusted the research to CACT in June 2021. After one year of in-depth investigations, the research team built a tourism service quality evaluation system that guarantees the tourism service quality and tourist satisfaction. Experts praised the research for its rich content and clear logic. They also gave suggestions for improving details and optimizing content.
In her speech, Professor Cheng Wei, vice-president of BISU, noted that CACT, as a think tank of the ministry, will focus on the enhancement of intellectual services, providing more quality content for the ministry.

As a think tank of the ministry, BISU played a role in ensuring the smooth implementation of the research project in serving the cultural and tourism sectors.
