Established in December 2008, the Department of Physical Education has four teaching and research centers: the teaching and research office, the group activity teaching and research office, the field and equipment teaching and research office and the students’ physical health center. It is responsible for teaching the university’s compulsory and optional courses on physical education, group activities, team building as well as filed and equipment management.

The department focuses on training international and high-level talents to meet China’s needs and economic transformation and upgrading.

The department includes the Party secretary and director’s office, the administrative office, the teaching management office and the office of the director of the teaching and research section. It has 22 faculty members with a wealth of experience and team spirit. They are one Party secretary and director, one office director, one teaching secretary, two workers and 18 full-time teachers.
