BISU Institute of Châteauroux

Established in September 2017, the BISU Institute of Châteauroux located in Châteauroux city, France, is the first campus of a Chinese university in a Western country. The institute has faculty members with rich teaching experience and a high scientific research level. It currently has five Chinese administrative staff and nine Chinese teachers including five professors, two associate professors and two lecturers. The institute offers many disciplines such as English Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, management and philosophy. The institute has 14 French teachers for professional teaching.

The institute aims to train talents with multi-language ability. It currently has 110 students in the five majors of English, French, management, translation and Chinese. Students at the institute receive higher education both from BISU and University D’Orleans.

The institute badge is designed based on the badge of BISU and the university motto. It symbolizes the knowledge to realize dreams and the broader international vision. The “V S V P” on the badge comes from the French “Vertu, Studiosité, Primauté, Vérité”, which means “Virtue, Studious, Primacy and Truth”.
